Dividing Head & Gears
See
Sherline on gear-cutting techniques &
also refer to
spur gear geometry.
This dividing head is made by Bemato
(Taiwan) & was purchased from Enco.
This head is now used on the RF-25 mill. Use a 4-jaw
or collet chuck to get better centering.
Making gears like this is difficult, at best.

First try results. Next time I'll use the large mill with the collet chuck or 4-jaw
chuck to get the stock centered.

threads are protected by the supplied plastic collar.
Also shown is its adjustable tailstock. Threaded (unfinished) chuck adapter
& additional index plates are in the background.
