The right side of the Taig's cast aluminum carriage is fly cut, flat.

Holes are tapped with 6-32 threads to hold the Y-axis L-bracket.

Tapped the Taig steel base with 6-32 threads for the lower scale bracket.

Y-axis upper bracket for the 6" scale. The SPC socket faces down.
The bracket top is too deep to clear the table crank.

The top of the Y-axis bracket must allow the X table handle & bearing plate to completely clear.
The L-channel serves as the scale mount & protects it from impact, fluid & debris.

I have installed rubber washers on all the scale mounts to
allow a little floating to reduce the strain on the transducers.

Used self-aligning, spherical washers to allow easy lower bracket assembly.

Rubber washers installed.

Spiral cable wrap for protection.
